Risk Analyst

What are you going to do?
The Corporate Risk team sits at the centre of RNHB working closely with commercial and operations teams, team of Credit Risk Analysts and finance to perform value-added analyses to help drive the business, as well as developing reporting and tools to underpin our risk monitoring and processes. 


Tasks & responsibilities
•    Develop and enhance the risk models and tools used across our business, including concentration risk models, portfolio risk management, IFRS9 models, credit risk scorecards;
•    Perform discrete pieces of analysis to support our business areas including arrears management, covenant monitoring, developments in the back book, credit underwriting;
•    Perform sample tests for initial problem analysis or in depth analysis;
•    Ongoing monthly reporting on loan book and weekly reporting on arrears, forbearance and Special Asset Management;
•    Develop and monitor other tools and reporting required by risk management and the business, such as portfolio management, scenario planning and concentration risk analysis;
•    Understand our data including how we collect it, what systems we use, what it means and suggest ways to enrich our data and analytical capabilities.
•    Contribute to risk projects, consolidating risk data, interpretate outcomes and / or provide recommendations. 


What do you bring to the table?
We are looking for an intelligent, motivated and independent individual that enjoys finding simple solutions to complex issues and can communicate them effectively in a non-technical way.

•    Mathematical background or similar demonstrated by degree or post-graduate qualifications;
•    4+ years’ experience primarily in or working with the financial sector;
•    Strong programming skills, preferably including SQL and SAS (or be a willing and fast learner);
•    Strong skills in Power BI, Excel and PowerPoint.
