What are you going to do?
As a Business Controller you are the linking pin between the business and the finance department forging strong relationships across the company. You combine your analytical skills and financial insight in an advisory role to the business. Financial modeling and analytical forecasting are key elements in that role which should result in in guiding, supporting and challenging the business to enhance performance, share insights and devise strategic and tactical plans. Furthermore, you proactively work on initiatives to improve our reporting to all stakeholders including executive management and the Board, but also per scenario analysis and for business insights. In addition, you contribute to product developments and participate in multi-disciplinary teams during possible acquisitions or other business developments such as new funding structures or expanding the RNHB platform. You work closely in a team of 3 Business Controllers and report to the Director Finance & Treasury.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Delivery of (monthly) figures, performance reporting, forecasts and budgets and enriching these with meaningful insights;

• Prepare and present the monthly business update to the executive management;

• Act as a sparring partner to leadership team, the executive management and Board;

• Monitor business performance improvement, challenging leadership and business through detailed financial analysis and recommendations in areas such as margin and profitability;

• Support the capital expenditure process ensuring timely and quality requests are progressed, expenditure is tracked and financial returns monitored;

• Ad-hoc trend and performance analysis and advise on required improvement measures;

• Responsible for coordination, preparation and advise on business plans;

• Build and maintain dashboards providing actionable insights;

• Act regularly as a project controller on organization-wide projects.
   

What do you bring to the table?
To be successful in this role, you are entrepreneurial, analytical and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You understand the interests of the people around you, are self-organized and do what you say. This role requires a commercially driven finance professional with a quantitative profile who is comfortable working with complex models.

And further:

• You have a master’s degree in business or economics;

• You have excellent knowledge of real estate and finance;

• You have strong modeling and SQL skills;

• You have experience working with and influencing senior leaders;

• Business sense: confidence and independent enough to question the way things are (find out the question behind the question)

• You have excellent English language skills (verbal and written)
